Company history. About us.
The company TCT Handelsgesellschaft was founded in 1986 in Munich, Germany, as a representative of the company Torrington Inc. for Eastern Europe. In the course of time, representative offices developed in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA and Manila, Philippines.
Over the years, the company has continuously developed from a pioneer in the rolling bearing business with Eastern Europe to a recognised, internationally active trading company for capital goods in the steel industry, plant engineering and mechanical engineering as well as a project service provider in EAST - WEST - EAST trade. When the current managing director joined the company in 2008, the Schweitenkirchen branch was opened. Since then, the entire operative and administrative business has been handled from there.
As part of the strategic orientation, an additional representative office was founded in Moscow and a strategic investment was made in Slovakia. After laying the foundation stone for its own company building in 2015, TCT Handelsgesellschaft moved to its current location in Dieselstraße in Schweitenkirchen in 2016 and serves its international customers from there in ideal surroundings and infrastructure. With this milestone, the company headquarters were also moved from Munich to Schweitenkirchen.
After the retirement of the founder, the representative offices in Manila and Cincinnati were also discontinued in favour of focusing on the Eastern European business.
With the war in Ukraine, many supply sources and transport routes, both in Russia and Ukraine, became inaccessible for our customers. Together with our long-standing strategic customers, a reorientation towards alternative suppliers took place in order to be able to offer new, long-term reliable supply chains. At the same time, new lines of business developed, e.g. in the distribution business for pig iron.
